About Eve

Eve is a painter living in San Francisco, focusing on large scale acrylic paint on canvas and can be described as relentlessly emotive, in art and in life. 

Through color and texture, she expresses the emotions of joy, anger, rage, frustration and anxiety that arise from being a woman and mother in our society. 

Working en plein air in the cool breezes of San Francisco, Eve starts from a single pure color and builds from that inspirational spark. The end result transforms that singular inspiration into a kaleidoscope of colors and an explosion of textures.

She harnesses the joy of experimentation and spontaneity, applying paint by spraying, dripping, fingerpainting, and sponging. She further sprays, scrubs, and scrapes the canvas with hoses, wood scraps, spatulas, and steel brushes. For some pieces, she adds final embellishments of textured gel or glass beads.  

Rather than trying to divine the artist’s feelings when painting a particular work, Eve hopes that the viewer can see the work as a mirror, reflecting their own layered emotions.
